Who Are We Really??

I was listening to a speaker on my CD today and he was talking about the masks we wear -- not the literal ones, but what we show the outside world. We are afraid to reveal our true selves sometimes so we put on a happy face or don't admit when we fail, or hurt or are angry.

Yes, and I, too, wear masks sometimes. I can only imagine what the people are like who create these wonderful treasuries. I sometimes have a conversation with each of them and a little bit more is revealed about their lives, but not always enough to really "know" that person. And I'm sure they think the same about me. I sometimes wonder if I would be friends with any of these Etsy sellers if they lived next door to me. If we would get together for coffee or lunch or hang out together on the weekends.

Well, enough philosophizing, and now to the fun part....I'm Yearning for a wonderful summer this year. I'm Yearning for a good meal on my wedding anniversary on Tuesday. If anyone wants to guess how many years I've been married be my guest! Sheila at Shecological made a beautiful treasury featuring one of my post it note holders (or maybe it was a mini notebook). Whatever one it was, I think it fit very nicely. :-)

Sheila's bags would be the perfect summer accessory this year. Check out both of these below:

Vintage Brain -- where did that title come from? Oh, I see now, from sushipotparts. Us Etsy curators love the titles of some of the items we feature and anakim is no exception. I'm always trying to find catchy titles for my treasuries and this one was just peachy keen.

A little about me is seen in these gorgeous pieces by Orna. I love simple clean lines. Nothing flashy...

Theresa of pixiepaper created a treasury with no name. But since we need to put something in the title box she chose ............ Who cares? I love what she's done with her treasury and my Audrey magnet looked right at home.

Aren't these embellishments just super cool? I love the colors and designs. Those coasters would also look perfect in anyone's home. Thanks Theresa for some fun stuff to see right in your shop!

Oh, lookee here - a front page treasury. I'm always liking those front pages because I usually get a sale or two from them. We all need an encouraging sales boost once in awhile. SarahJohnAfana created this fun blue and red treasury, but then again, Sarah seems like a fun type of California girl. I could hang out with her for awhile and I know she'd make me laugh and have a good time.

Now I'm pretty upset because I just bought some wonderful beach inspired cards from Sarah, but I just saw some other beachy cards in her shop. I hate it when people do that. I buy one thing and then another wonderful thing shows up right after that! Urghh!! If given the choice to live in the mountains or by the water, I would always choose the water. Now you know something else about me.

One reason I like sharing other people's shops with you is so that I don't have to talk about myself. I'm a very private kind of person and I don't want you to be disappointed if you find out who the real me is. :-)

Is this a new blog? Or, have I just been sleeping? Friends...I vote on friends.

Sleeping again? or too busy with wild animals and 4 wheeling in your back yard?

it's a funny old thing this virtual world of ours .. i've had the pleasure of meeting a few fellow etsians and they are as lovely in 'real life' as they are on etsy ..

I'd meet up with you Alice .. i'm certain you'd plant many smiles on my face.

Anniversary .. firstly congratulations for tuesday AND as to how many years???? ... mmmmm, let me think, it's got to be over 20 years ... can I have 2 guesses? First one is 25 years :) although I have a feeling it's a little more than that

What lovely comments everyone's made! Yes, Sigmosaics, you can have two guesses. 25 is incorrect, but you better not guess over 30. :-)

Oh Sweet Alice-you do not have to meet a real, live person for them to bring smiles to your face; your blog, your shops, your treasuries all done with fun and flair.
Happy, Happy Anniversary! How many years can be one of those subtle pieces of private information that only those "real life" people around you get to know.
Thank you Sweet Alice for all your continued kind words. Now make sure to do a cannonball into that pool of yours for me!!
