People I Would Like to Meet in Real Life

This is not an exhaustive list, but just the beginning of an ongoing acknowledgment that so many people from an online community can be friends without ever having met!

Red White and Green

Hello there people! A quick post to highlight some great Etsy sellers. It's interesting that many of the treasuries in which PHP or RAR was featured were green, but I've just happened to find red and white items in each of their shops. Does that mean Christmas in June? I hope not...

MaisyandAlice is a wonderful Etsyian from Australia. I've always been attracted to Jill because her daughter is named the same as me!

It was a toss up between this beautiful necklace and the union jack necklace. I guess you better visit Jill's store for more beautiful felted finds!

Nanouke creates beautiful treasuries and the one below is no exception! I love her spring colors treasury!!

Ana does a wonderful job knitting with wire. Check out her shop for more beautiful pieces of jewelry!

Expect the unexpected with Curlygirlcrochet! I love this treasury! Thanks Jodie!!

Curlygirl loves yarn and it shows with her gorgeous red coasters.

TheBrickKiln is a fun loving mother daughter duo. I bought and received some of their beautiful dishes. Hello Karen and Cassie -- I love this treasury!

TheBrickKiln has a variety of dishes to meet every need you may have.

Wacky Wednesday

Did you ever read Wacky Wednesday to your kids when they were growing up? It was great fun trying to find all the things that didn't belong in each picture. It was a short but time consuming book. My kids loved it!

The treasuries are kind of like that too. I go visit a list and am amazed that my one item that really shouldn't be there, does in fact, look pretty cool. I think it's the ability of these treasury curators to make any thing look great.

I really love the color scheme of this treasury curated by budanART. Mandy has such a wonderful eye for color! You can see it in each of her abstract landscapes. I always enjoy visiting Mandy's shop and browsing through her store. One of my desires is to buy an original -- I don't think it will ever happen, but I do like dreaming.

Even though an original is out of my price range, I have purchased many of Mandy's prints. Two hang on my wall and her greeting cards are super lovely!! Oh, and I have a couple of magnets, too!

Just as bold in a muted way, is the treasury made by RedChair. Heidi (my yodeling friend - not really, but her name fits the bill) - creates the most gorgeous treasuries. She can take one of my mirrors -- full of bones -- and slip it right in amongst all the other gorgeousness.

Heidi's shop is full of wonderfully creative jewelry. I can tell she loves color and creates necklaces and earrings even I would enjoy wearing! I'm sure I wouldn't even look wacky in one of the pieces I've highlighted below.

TheBrickKiln decided they love PHP alot!! Two treasuries! Woo Hoo. Karen and Cassie (a mother daughter team), make the greatest treasuries -- at least I think they're great when PHP is included. Okay, okay, they are great no matter who is included in their treasury.

Get ready for Father's Day right now by visiting TheBrickKiln's shop. Their pottery is wonderful! Every dad would sure love a piece with all his kids' names on it.

I bought a spoon holder for my daughter for her new house, but she decided to use it as a ring dish instead. The versatility of these pieces is amazing. They can be used for anything! You name it, you can use it. :-)

Yalp by Sigmosaics was a play on Lucas' domino magnet. I don't care -- I thought it was great. And Lucas loved to be featured in this wonderful treasury.

These mini vases are the cutest and I know I'm going to buy one of the eggs/ornaments for my next Christmas tree. Thanks, Kerrin, for the color feast in your shop!

My Wacky Wednesday ended up being a wonderful time visiting the shops of the creative and talented Etsy sellers/treasury curators. Take a moment and buy handmade for your next gift giving opportunity!

SWEET SATURDAY SALES

As I was looking through the shops I was planning to feature this weekend, I noticed something very special. Each of them is having a sale of some sort. You'll find out shortly what their sweet Saturday deals are...

But first, I've been feeling quite sweet lately. I've started taking a variety of vitamins, HRT (natural, of course) and other general good-for-you pills and it's amazing how more relaxed I feel. It couldn't be that I'm celebrating a birthday on Sunday just because it's a turn-of-the-(half)century kind of birthday and I've heard others struggle during this particular age of their life. I'm okay with it.

I'm also having a birthday sale this weekend in both my shops: PipingHotPapers and RunAliceRun - 15% off all merchandise if you only put "Happy Birthday" in the "notes to seller" section of your invoice. I may even run it through May!

I also think you should check out this shop -- Sigmosaics -- Kerrin is offering free shipping on all her magnets -- and that's a sweet deal because Kerrin lives in Portugal! But first I want to say "thank you" Kerrin for the down the yellow brick road treasury you created with one of my mini notebooks included! xoxoxoxo

I love Kerrin's mosaics. Clean, crisp lines appeal to me in all areas of my life. I wish I was more clean and crisp in my homemaking skills!

PS I don't know why this paragraph is underlined. If someone can tell me how to turn it off I'd appreciate it!

Anakim curated a beautiful treasury featuring some new mirrors I've just begun offering in my shop. Some of you may know I'm not a "pink" kind of girl, but the more I see pink being used, the more that color grows on me. Thanks, Orna, for making my sweet pink item look gorgeous!!

Anakim is having a sale celebrating her 1st year on Etsy. Check out her shop to see her sweet deals!!

Happy Thursday was a happy day for me when pixiepaper decided to include some magnets from RunAliceRun. Woo hoo!! Theresa is such a sweetie!

Pixiepaper has many sweet deals in her Spring Cleaning Sale! Check her out -- well, check out her shop. I don't think there are any personal pictures in her shop so you won't be able to check "her" out! :-) Theresa - do you like my "thank you" I sent you via this blog? I even used one of your own cards!!

Sweet Saturday Sales - Do me a favor and be sweet to somebody this weekend!!

In the Court of the Blue Queen

Yes, it's true...the blue queen has arrived in the form of this gorgeous treasury curated by UnaOdd. There are 3 reasons I love this treasury - (1) it features me, (2) it doesn't have any clothes in it, and (3) it's simply gorgeous!!

Now for a taste of what UnaOdd offers in her shop:

Another treasury in which PipingHotPapers is featured is curated by Sigmosaics. I love this shop and I love this treasury!!(P.S. - it's okay that there are clothes in it -- I still love it)!

Sigmosaics is from Portugal and that's special because anyone from another country intrigues me! Look at some of these gorgeous pieces!

I would like to thank Carol Dean of SandFibers for the idea of posting treasuries and corresponding items from the curator's shop. I always feel special when she does that for me!
