Gnomes

I was a voracious reader when growing up, but I didn't like gnomes. I like dwarfs. Perhaps gnomes and dwarfs are close cousins. I don't know. I have found, though, that many people like gnomes. So, I'm using my vintage gnome book and making one of a kind cufflinks, tie tacks and pendants on vintage Scrabble tiles. Since I use the original illustrations, each one of these pieces is one of a kind. Check out this listing to see more pictures of these gnome cufflinks.

Collaborating with cindyg

In the midst of the kids squabbling, my husband out of the country for 2 1/2 weeks and wishing I had something to do so I don't get bored, I find that I can look at the beautiful artwork of cindyg and relax to some degree.

I think it's one of those things I'll never have - the ability to create beauty at this level. I can't even name this pendant -- I'm at loss for words. Suggestions are welcome. Maybe I'll go directly to cindy's shop and see what she named this original work of art.

Even though I haven't personally met Cindy, she has become special when we visit with each other via Etsy.

Perhaps one of these days, I'll be able to visit all the friends, someday, somewhere!
