Summer Expectations

Getting ready for summer means finding some great books to read during the hot, lazy days. It also means trying to find something to keep the kids from becoming bored and wanting to spend time in front of the TV and computer. It means enjoying my time blogging, twittering, facebooking, Etsying, etc. etc. But then again, perhaps I should go outside more and enjoy the weather. But not until I share with you some fabulous treasuries featuring PHP or RAR.

Pretty in Pink was curated by Lirola and shows pink in its most feminine form.

Lirola has some very feminine dresses in her shop. Very dreamy and form fitting.

Friend's fantasy was a beautiful green treasury that included some of PHP's gift tags. This list was lovingly (I think) made by MadeofJacinta. Woo Hoo! I love it!

MadeofJacinta has some gorgeous fabric creations in her shop. I love this unique necklace!

A Peach Slush sure sounds good about now. It also made for a wonderful treasury created by Ozetta!

Ozetta is keeping up with the seasons with these light and airy scarves!

Mother's Day has come and gone, but I'll never forget Vicki Diane for creating her one of a kind treasuries -- this one featuring moms and daughters! Thanks, Vicki Diane!!

Some hot and gorgeous jewelry can be found at VickiDianeDesigns!!

Even though all these Etsy sellers love to make treasuries and gave PHP a chance to shine, I hope everyone takes a minute to visit each of the online stores featured here. You never know, there just might be something waiting for you to buy!

The Countdown Begins

Tuesday - 3 more days until the end of school for the kids! I am so excited because that gives me a much needed break. I'll give myself a couple of weeks off and then begin planning for next school year.

Perhaps next weekend we'll put up our pool. We usually do it over the Memorial Day weekend but were out hiking, biking, and parade watching so we never got around to it. This week is scheduled for some rain, so we'll wait until it's a little warmer.

It's never to cool to put up some treasuries featuring PHP or RAR, though. And I've got a few to share with you all. Without batting an eyelash was curated by mariasoleil. She picked some of my pinback buttons featuring birds. Lovely, lovely, lovely!!

Check out these wonderful paper creations by a fellow Michigander! Mariasoleil hits the feminine spot in me.

The Shady Yellow Family is not really of questionable merit (I hope), but I may need to find out from cthings just what she meant by that title. I love how my mini notebook fit right in with the rest of these shady characters!

Cindy has some beautiful jewelry in her shop. I love this watch and necklace!

The time is now was a beautiful treasury created by melfitz. These colors just warm my heart and soul. Thanks Fitzy for featuring PHP!!

I love the burgundy color in both of these pieces. I have so much fun looking through Mel's shop. I requst, no demand, that you go visit her shop as well! :-)

My First Thoughts when visiting this treasury were, "wow"!! and then, "where's my item"? I always enjoy looking at treasuries like this one by CocoaBeans because each piece contributes to the whole to make for a very eye-pleasing viewing.

CocoaBeans -- what does that mean to you? Chocolate; coffee and chocolate; chocolate, coffee and then more chocolate? Well to me it means some way cool soap and washclothes. Perfect fun in the shower with both of these items.

Still Frost in the Morning was created way back in the cooler days of Spring, but it sure looks hot here! I love each item in this treasury! Ureshii sure knows how to make an eclectic, fun list!!

Hello, lovely clothes! Always elegant in any of Amanda's clothes!!

Go vote: Hey I just found out that some of PHP's cufflinks are being featured in another voting contest on Etsy!! Please check out all the items and vote for your favorite!!

What a wonderful way to celebrate my 30th wedding anniversary!! All these past lovely treasuries and a nice feature on Etsy! Woo Hoo!!!!

Who Are We Really??

I was listening to a speaker on my CD today and he was talking about the masks we wear -- not the literal ones, but what we show the outside world. We are afraid to reveal our true selves sometimes so we put on a happy face or don't admit when we fail, or hurt or are angry.

Yes, and I, too, wear masks sometimes. I can only imagine what the people are like who create these wonderful treasuries. I sometimes have a conversation with each of them and a little bit more is revealed about their lives, but not always enough to really "know" that person. And I'm sure they think the same about me. I sometimes wonder if I would be friends with any of these Etsy sellers if they lived next door to me. If we would get together for coffee or lunch or hang out together on the weekends.

Well, enough philosophizing, and now to the fun part....I'm Yearning for a wonderful summer this year. I'm Yearning for a good meal on my wedding anniversary on Tuesday. If anyone wants to guess how many years I've been married be my guest! Sheila at Shecological made a beautiful treasury featuring one of my post it note holders (or maybe it was a mini notebook). Whatever one it was, I think it fit very nicely. :-)

Sheila's bags would be the perfect summer accessory this year. Check out both of these below:

Vintage Brain -- where did that title come from? Oh, I see now, from sushipotparts. Us Etsy curators love the titles of some of the items we feature and anakim is no exception. I'm always trying to find catchy titles for my treasuries and this one was just peachy keen.

A little about me is seen in these gorgeous pieces by Orna. I love simple clean lines. Nothing flashy...

Theresa of pixiepaper created a treasury with no name. But since we need to put something in the title box she chose ............ Who cares? I love what she's done with her treasury and my Audrey magnet looked right at home.

Aren't these embellishments just super cool? I love the colors and designs. Those coasters would also look perfect in anyone's home. Thanks Theresa for some fun stuff to see right in your shop!

Oh, lookee here - a front page treasury. I'm always liking those front pages because I usually get a sale or two from them. We all need an encouraging sales boost once in awhile. SarahJohnAfana created this fun blue and red treasury, but then again, Sarah seems like a fun type of California girl. I could hang out with her for awhile and I know she'd make me laugh and have a good time.

Now I'm pretty upset because I just bought some wonderful beach inspired cards from Sarah, but I just saw some other beachy cards in her shop. I hate it when people do that. I buy one thing and then another wonderful thing shows up right after that! Urghh!! If given the choice to live in the mountains or by the water, I would always choose the water. Now you know something else about me.

One reason I like sharing other people's shops with you is so that I don't have to talk about myself. I'm a very private kind of person and I don't want you to be disappointed if you find out who the real me is. :-)

Go Vote!!

RunAliceRun and PipingHotPapers are both featured in the most current voting on Etsy's Storque! It's entitled "Which Flowers Make Your Garden Grow" and they are under some stiff competition. My goal is to at least get 10 votes! Take a moment and go vote for your favorite -- it doesn't need to be RAR or PHP, though. Just go have fun with this activity!

Make My Monday

Hello, my Monday Mates!

I've had a busy weekend, but that never stops me from revisiting treasuries which have featured RunAliceRun or PipingHotPapers. Beauty in Brown was created by MoonOverMaize. She curated a beautiful treasury!!

I love the look of the jewelry in MoonOverMaize's shop. These would be great gifts for anyone in your life -- or just keep it for yourself. The necklace is perfect for any bride!!

MulberryMoose had a fun and fabulous treasury and included some of my magnets! Very colorful and fab!

This peacock by MulberryMoose would sure look cute on a shelf in your living room!

I'm waiting expectantly for a shirt to arrive in the mail from Xenotees. Then I'll be as happy as a clam in high water. Wait, are clams really that happy in high water?

Noelle -- you always cut me up with your jokes! I think those kids agree with me!

Liz of twolefthands hit the bulls eye with this treasury. Perfect pieces to demonstrate a mark right on the spot!

I found this surprise picture in Liz's shop. Isn't she a cute model!?!

Well, my Monday Mates, sorry for such a short post -- I don't have any funny words in me today. What's for dinner? Please invite me over!
