The Countdown Begins

Tuesday - 3 more days until the end of school for the kids! I am so excited because that gives me a much needed break. I'll give myself a couple of weeks off and then begin planning for next school year.

Perhaps next weekend we'll put up our pool. We usually do it over the Memorial Day weekend but were out hiking, biking, and parade watching so we never got around to it. This week is scheduled for some rain, so we'll wait until it's a little warmer.

It's never to cool to put up some treasuries featuring PHP or RAR, though. And I've got a few to share with you all. Without batting an eyelash was curated by mariasoleil. She picked some of my pinback buttons featuring birds. Lovely, lovely, lovely!!

Check out these wonderful paper creations by a fellow Michigander! Mariasoleil hits the feminine spot in me.

The Shady Yellow Family is not really of questionable merit (I hope), but I may need to find out from cthings just what she meant by that title. I love how my mini notebook fit right in with the rest of these shady characters!

Cindy has some beautiful jewelry in her shop. I love this watch and necklace!

The time is now was a beautiful treasury created by melfitz. These colors just warm my heart and soul. Thanks Fitzy for featuring PHP!!

I love the burgundy color in both of these pieces. I have so much fun looking through Mel's shop. I requst, no demand, that you go visit her shop as well! :-)

My First Thoughts when visiting this treasury were, "wow"!! and then, "where's my item"? I always enjoy looking at treasuries like this one by CocoaBeans because each piece contributes to the whole to make for a very eye-pleasing viewing.

CocoaBeans -- what does that mean to you? Chocolate; coffee and chocolate; chocolate, coffee and then more chocolate? Well to me it means some way cool soap and washclothes. Perfect fun in the shower with both of these items.

Still Frost in the Morning was created way back in the cooler days of Spring, but it sure looks hot here! I love each item in this treasury! Ureshii sure knows how to make an eclectic, fun list!!

Hello, lovely clothes! Always elegant in any of Amanda's clothes!!

Go vote: Hey I just found out that some of PHP's cufflinks are being featured in another voting contest on Etsy!! Please check out all the items and vote for your favorite!!

What a wonderful way to celebrate my 30th wedding anniversary!! All these past lovely treasuries and a nice feature on Etsy! Woo Hoo!!!!

Fun on Thursday

Today is the last day of enrichment classes at our homeschooling group. We have 58 families involved and I know my kids will really miss it. We don't start again until September and the time between now and then will need to be filled with visits from friends.

Memorial Day is the day we set up our pool and the kids are already planning on having pool parties. I decided that if we have a party all the invited kids need to bring a snack to share.

I wish I could invite all my Etsy friends to a pool party, too! I wouldn't even enforce a "snack" requirement from them. We'd sit under the tree and watch the kids swim. I decided I don't swim any longer unless it's in a big lake (i.e. Lake Michigan).

One person I'd invite is SarahJohnAfana. But she said Michigan sounds too cold for her. Those California girls are wimps! But she's not a wimp when it comes to her treasury skills. I've included two here because for some reason Sarah is on a PHP whim. Love the treasuries in which PHP was included!

SarahJohnAfana has some great items in her shop. In fact, I purchased the cards shown below and they are super cool. So colorful and exotic. I can't wait to use them. My sister-in-law's birthday is coming up and she'll be the first to receive one.

I am totally satisfied with the results of this treasury by Emily of ureshii! Elegant, hot, colorful, and extremely lovely!

I think I need to seriously consider losing some weight. Then I would look sleek and elegant in these wonderful pieces by ureshii! Dream on, Alice!

Talking about dreaming brings me to the next treasury. PaperandSparkles created a gorgeous treasury featuring one of my mini notebooks. I loved how I looked in there - sleek and lovely! Thanks, PaperandSparkles!!

A bouquet of felt flowers would look so refreshing in my home right now! Come on in spring! Check out PaperandSparkles' shop for some fun felt items!

Well, the kids are getting out of bed and life calls! But take a moment and enjoy the wonderful creations made by some very talented Etsyians!

Sunny with a chance of fun!

Today is a day to say "thank you" to the many Etsy curators featuring PipingHotPapers in their treasuries. This is also to give you a taste of these ladies' shops and the cool things they sell. These women are very creative and great treasures among those of us who create. One doesn't need to be a celebrity to be worthy of celebration!

Ladies, a great big thank you to the wonderful treasuries you consistently create (with or without my two shops)!

CocoaBeans has taken a mirror from my PHP shop and created a lovely
red sand dune treasury. I want to kiss this treasury!!

I have not personally met CocoaBeans, but she has a lovely shop with soap and scrubbies. So tempting -- so inviting. I'm going over there right now to do some more browsing!

woodsmoke at dawn made it to the front page of Etsy in the wee hours of the morning. But I don't care when it shows up -- I just love it when it hits the front page. This luscious treasury was curated by ureshii.

I love the clothes in ureshii's shop. I think I might look good in something like this top and pants.

Sumikoshop curated this treasury that made it to the front page and I also was able to get a screen shot. See those words "Handpicked items"? Well, that PROVES my matchbook notepads were on the front page. Thanks Sumikoshop!!

Ice cream or tea? Tea or ice cream? Ummm.....both please! Visit Sumikoshop for more fun and funky jewelry!

The World in Bloom really looked lovely on the front page -- yes front page again!! I tell you, I think PHP was featured 4 times that day on the front page. This happens only once in a blue moon or one time out of every million treasuries! I was feeling the love that day. Thanks CurlyGirlCrochet for this lovely treasury and the super duper feature you gave my post it note holder!

Such a wide variety of food in Jodie's shop! What? Food that's been crocheted? NO WAY! Yes, Way! The Sushi Scarf and the Fortune Cookie cat toys! Forget about the cat, don't you think these would be great play items for the kids in your family?

Another day another fun way to say "thank you" to the wonderful ladies on Etsy!!
